DCA Partners, an investment banking and strategic advisory firm that has advised founders and family-owned businesses for more than 25 years, has promoted Tom Arstingstall to managing director.
Arstingstall joined DCA Partners in 2021 and has since worked with founders and family business owners on sales, acquisitions and other strategic finance matters. Most recently, he led DCA’s representation of L&H Airco, a Rocklin-based building automation and energy management contractor, in its sale to Service Logic, a privately held HVAC and mechanical services company.
“Tom’s combination of analytical rigor, deep investor perspective and genuine care for the owners he works with has made him a trusted advisor to our clients,” Brent Haapanen, partner at DCA Partners, said. “I’ve seen firsthand how business owners rely on his thoughtful guidance through what is often the biggest decision of their lives. He has earned this promotion, and I’m excited to see him continue to take on a larger leadership role here at DCA.”
“I’m grateful to DCA for the opportunity and for the trust the firm has placed in me,” Arstingstall said. “Helping owners navigate the sale, growth or transition of the business they have spent years building is meaningful work, and I look forward to continuing to serve the founders and families who trust us with those decisions.”
As managing director, Arstingstall will take on expanded leadership responsibility across client engagements, new client development and the continued growth of DCA’s M&A practice. The M&A advisory team serves clients in industries including business services, industrials, healthcare, construction and facility services, technology-enabled services, and other middle-market sectors.
Arstingstall has more than a decade of experience in finance. Before joining DCA, he worked at PowerSchool, a Bain Capital-backed K-12 software company, and at Mercer Consulting, where he advised the nation’s largest institutional investors on their private equity and co-investment portfolios. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
