Global law firm Clifford Chance hired Matt Snodgrass as counsel in its debt finance practice in Houston, adding further depth to its energy and infrastructure finance team as the firm continues to expand in Houston.

Snodgrass counsels lenders, public and private borrowers, and private equity sponsors in complex lending and commercial financing transactions. His experience includes domestic and cross-border financing transactions, asset-based lending, syndicated loan transactions and other energy-related financing transactions, as well as representing clients in connection with debt capital markets transactions and distress situations.

“Matt’s arrival marks another important step in the growth of our Houston office,” Alex Wilde, Houston office managing partner at Clifford Chance, said. “His experience further strengthens our ability to support clients across complex energy and infrastructure financing transactions in the U.S. and globally.”

Snodgrass added, “I’m excited to join Clifford Chance at such an exciting time for the Houston office. The team’s collaborative approach and ability to bring together lawyers across practices to support energy and infrastructure clients was a major draw for me.”
