Citizens M&A Advisory Advises Gunnison Tree Services on Recap by Warren Equity Partners

Citizens M&A Advisory served as the exclusive financial advisor to Gunnison Tree Services, a provider of tree and vegetation management services, on its recapitalization by Warren Equity Partners, a Jacksonville, FL-based lower middle market private equity fund.

Founded in 1999, Gunnison is based in the southeastern United States and provides services to utility, government, residential and commercial clients.

“David Morse and the Citizens team provided unparalleled service, acting as trusted advisor and even directly supporting our operations,” Matt Cathell, founder and president of Gunnison Tree Services, said. “Citizens invested the time to truly understand Gunnison, expertly positioned the opportunity to a targeted set of potential partners, and designed a customized process tailored to our objectives. The dedication of the Citizens team resulted in a fantastic outcome for Gunnison, as they found the ideal partner to actively support our continued growth and evolution.”

“Gunnison’s exceptional growth is a testament to its best-in-class service and customer value proposition,” Morse, who is a director with Citizens, said. “Matt Cathell has built an impressive, growth-oriented organization and sought a partner to support Gunnison’s continued expansion through both organic and acquisition initiatives. Warren Equity’s expertise in infrastructure services, partnership approach and extensive operating resources are a perfect fit for Gunnison. We look forward to the company’s continued growth and success.”

Citizens M&A Advisory specializes in middle-market mergers and acquisitions as well as later-stage financing transactions.
