Citizens announced a realignment of its Asset-Backed Finance Group, formerly led by John Carlin. Carlin will remain with the firm, focused on the Bank’s Private Capital initiative across its Capital Markets Platform while Managing Directors Pete Rogers and Erik Priede will assume leadership roles as heads of the Corporate Credit Securitization and ABS Platforms, respectively. Both CCS and ABS will report to Jeffrey Kung, head of the Bank’s Financial Institutions Group.
Rogers assumes the role after 4 years as a lead originator for Citizens’ private credit financings and more than 25 years in structured products, including roles at Wells Fargo Securities and RBC Capital Markets. Priede has been with Citizens since 2017 as the lead originator within ABS, with more than 25 years of structured products experience, including prior roles at RBS and Bank of America.
