Lazard has promoted David Kurtz to head of the Global Restructuring Group, a Wall Street Journal article reported. Kurtz has been with the company for almost a decade. Kurtz has been advising Dynergy in its bankruptcy proceedings and will continue to work out of the Chicago office, the article said.

Private equity firm CounterPoint Capital Partners was nominated for Turnaround Deal of the Year in two sector categories for its acquisition and restructuring of Tomich Brothers Fish Company and Standard Seafood.
