Marc Shepsman rejoined Cahill Gordon & Reindel as a partner in its corporate practice group. Shepsman’s practice focuses on advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, financial institutions and corporate clients on leveraged finance, acquisition financings, private credit transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other complex corporate matters across a broad range of industries.
“We’re excited to welcome Marc back to Cahill,” Herb Washer, chair of Cahill’s executive committee, said. “Our leveraged finance and corporate practices continue to be strategic priorities for the firm, and Marc’s deep market knowledge and strong credentials will further enhance the service we provide our clients.”
Shepsman combines elite leveraged finance experience with deep sponsor-side and transactional insight, advising clients on high-profile acquisitions, complex financings and strategic corporate transactions. He brings an integrated perspective across financing and deal execution, representing sponsors, lenders and corporate borrowers in sophisticated private equity, M&A and financing matters.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Shepsman spent several years at Cahill, where he developed a broad-based practice focused on capital markets, leveraged finance, and private financing transactions.
“Marc is an exceptional lawyer with outstanding technical skills, commercial judgment, and strong client relationships, and we’re thrilled to welcome him back to the firm,” Adam Dworkin, a member of Cahill’s executive committee and co-chair of the firm’s corporate group, said. “His experience advising sponsors and financial institutions on sophisticated financing and transactional matters further reinforces Cahill’s position as a market leader in this space.”
Shepsman said, “I’m excited to return to Cahill and reconnect with so many talented colleagues and clients. Cahill has an unmatched reputation in leveraged finance, and I look forward to continuing to build a premier corporate practice at the firm.”
Shepsman received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. from Duke University. He is admitted to practice in New York.
