BMO Harris Bank hired Steve Friedlander as managing director, portfolio and professional development, for its Asset-Based Lending team.
He will work closely with portfolio managers and BMO’s ABL leadership team on credit deals. He will also have overall responsibility for the training and development of the portfolio and underwriting team.
“Our Asset-Based Lending team has been experiencing exceptionally strong growth, and we’ll build on that momentum with the addition of Steve, who brings tremendous industry knowledge and experience to the role,” said Mike Scolaro, head, Asset-Based Lending, BMO Harris Bank. “Steve is very well known within the ABL industry, and we’re extremely happy to welcome this true industry leader to BMO.”
Friedlander has more than 25 years of ABL experience, with specific industry expertise in the automotive, metals, transportation and food sectors. In his most recent role, he was a regional portfolio executive, managing a team of lending professionals that oversaw a very large portfolio of ABL commitments and outstanding loans.
