According to the Ottawa Citizen, the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club secured a $30 million, five-year short-term credit line with BMO Bank of Montreal’s corporate finance division.
The Citizen said the club will use the loan to access short-term credit and buy U.S. dollars when exchange rates are more attractive, as U.S. dollars are usually used by a hockey franchise to pay its players.
