Barclays appointed Isobel van Daesdonk and Scott Willard as managing directors within the financial sponsors group. They will be based in New York and will report to Christian Oberle, head of the Americas financial sponsors group at Barclays.
A seasoned investment banker with 25 years of experience, van Daesdonk joins Barclays from Guggenheim Securities, where she was a senior managing director in financial sponsors investment banking. Prior to this, van Daesdonk spent 20 years at Deutsche Bank in London and New York in roles across investment banking coverage, equity capital markets and most recently as a managing director in the financial sponsors group. She maintains strong relationships with clients including Bain, Roark and New Mountain Capital, as well as other financial sponsors.
Willard has over 20 years of experience in investment banking. He has served the private equity and alternative asset manager client base in advisory, capital markets and leveraged finance roles at Deutsche Bank, UBS and most recently Nomura Securities. Willard brings to Barclays deep relationships that he has developed over the course of his career with CD&R, CVC, KKR and other financial sponsor clients.
“We are delighted to welcome Isobel and Scott to Barclays,” Christian Oberle, head of the Americas financial sponsors group at Barclays, said. “Their extensive experience across investment banking coverage, advisory and capital markets roles, combined with their tenures covering private equity clients, makes them excellent additions to our team as we strengthen existing client relationships and build new financial sponsor relationships that will be critical to our continued success.”
