First Business Capital, a division of First Business Financial Services, hired Brian Banning as vice president of business development.
Banning has more than 30 years of experience in financial services and is currently located in the Detroit metro area.
Banning is an asset-based lending business development professional proficient in the consultative structuring of client solutions in turnaround, restructuring, acquisition, growth and refinance. He has experience in the automotive industry, understanding the challenges of Tier 1 to Tier 3 suppliers and OEM tactics in working with the supply base. Banning also is experienced in portfolio management, workout and operations ranging from restructuring to conventional financing. He also previously managed a regional asset- based lending business.
Banning is a member of Association of Corporate Growth and has served or is currently serving on private for-profit boards, non-profit boards, the Turnaround Management Association and the Secured Finance Network boards.
First Business Capital is a bank-owned specialty lender providing asset-based loans to privately held businesses.
