Assembled Brands Capital expanded its leadership team with the addition of Kunal Kohli as managing director, head of revenue and Abby Jonathan as vice president of originations.

Kunal will lead Assembled Brands’ revenue strategy, business development and expansion of our asset-based lending portfolio, with a focus on client engagement, pipeline management and optimizing lending practices to support sustainable advancement. With more than 15 years of experience in revenue growth, strategy and leadership, particularly in CPG and B2B SaaS industries, Kunal brings a wealth of expertise to the team.

Kunal co-founded BOU, a better-for-you bouillon and soup company, which sold in major retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Target and Walmart. He has also held senior roles at Ampla, where he was instrumental in growing the firm’s loan book from $50 million to over $300 million in less than two years.

“Kunal’s extensive experience in revenue growth, strategic planning, and client engagement will be instrumental in expanding our lending portfolio and advancing our long-term objectives,” Michael Lipkin, CEO of Assembled Brands, said.

Based in New York, Kunal will oversee originations and portfolio growth, drive the delivery of customized asset-based financing solutions and play a key role in the continued expansion of Assembled Brands Capital’s lending portfolio across strategic industries.

Jonathan will drive Assembled Brands’ origination efforts and strengthen our position in the asset-based lending market.

Jonathan brings extensive experience in business development and client relationship management. Most recently, as senior business development representative at Ampla, she played a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities within fintech and lending. Before that, at BrightEdge, Jonathan honed her expertise in sales strategy and market expansion.

“Abby’s extensive experience in driving growth and building strong client relationships in dynamic markets makes her a tremendous asset to our team,” Lipkin said. “Her strategic vision and ability to identify new business opportunities will be critical in advancing our origination capabilities and delivering flexible, asset-based financing solutions within the consumer products ecosystem.”

At Assembled Brands, Jonathan will leverage her market development skills and deep industry insights to drive the firm’s originations efforts, supporting the company’s commitment to providing tailored, asset-based financing solutions to a wide range of businesses across diverse industries.
