Aperture Investors, an alternative asset manager and part of Generali Investments, led a $300 million asset-based financing facility with Avant, a financial technology company.

The facility provides flexible capital designed to support Avant’s continued growth across its platform. The transaction further strengthens a longstanding relationship between Aperture’s asset-based finance (ABF) team and Avant.

“We’re pleased to partner with Avant to support its continued growth,” Nick Turgeon, global head of asset-based finance and portfolio manager at Aperture, said. “Our ABF strategy is focused on working with high-quality partners that combine dynamic underwriting models with proven operating capabilities, and Avant exemplifies those qualities. We look forward to continuing to seek attractive investment opportunities for our clients.”

Al Goldstein, CEO of Avant, added, “At Avant, we’ve spent more than a decade building a data driven platform designed to expand access to responsible credit for middle income Americans. Partnering with Aperture on this facility aligns with that mission: it gives us flexible funding to grow our credit card portfolio while maintaining the discipline and risk management our customers and capital partners expect. We’re excited to deepen the relationship as we scale the platform to serve more people.”
