Alvarez & Marsal added Managing Director Elizabeth Dean to its Disputes and Investigations group in San Francisco.

Dean’s primary areas of concentration are intellectual property, breach of contract, commercial damages, forensic accounting, fraud, unfair competition, valuations, mergers and acquisition, and class action cases. Her 30 years of extensive experience include forensic accounting, business consulting and valuation services, as well as testifying as an expert in federal and state courts and in U.S. and international arbitrations.

Dean has worked with clients across various industries, including consumer goods, e-commerce, energy, financial services, high technology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, software, professional services, telecommunications and utilities. She has provided financial and damages analysis on claims involving lost profits, lost wages/benefits, increased costs, lost business or asset value, unjust enrichment, reasonable royalty/license and forensic accounting.

Prior to joining A&M, Dean was a vice president at TM Financial Forensics and a director at Navigant Consulting.

“Clients turn to our team for detailed and thorough solutions on pressing and critical issues,” said Bryan Ruez, managing director and global leader of A&M’s Disputes and Investigations practice. “Elizabeth’s broad experience across a range of industries and jurisdictions is an invaluable addition to our disputes and investigations business and further expands the scope of our offerings on the West Coast.”

“Alvarez & Marsal’s dedication to growing its Disputes and Investigations group on the West Coast was important to my decision to join A&M,” said Dean. “This is an opportunity for me to employ my insights and profound experience at a time when there is growing demand for litigation expertise on the West Coast. I’m excited to be a part of this dynamic team as we expand Alvarez & Marsal’s commercial damages service offerings.”

Dean is a certified public accountant, a certified management accountant, a chartered global management accountant, certified in financial forensics and a certified licensing professional.
