Abacus Finance Group served as administrative agent and sole lender in the leveraged buyout of Motion Sensors by Sentech, a portfolio company of Astor Place Holdings.

Motion Sensors specializes in speed sensor technology for aerospace, military, rail transit and other sectors. Sentech provides position sensor solutions for industrial, aerospace and defense industries. The acquisition brings together complementary capabilities in sensor technology across multiple markets.

Mark Adams, managing director at Astor Place Holdings, commented on the financing process:
“The Abacus team quickly understood Sentech’s business model and provided the certainty we needed within a tight timeframe.”

Tim Clifford, President and CEO of Abacus Finance, noted: “We were impressed with the strategic alignment between Sentech and Motion Sensors and are pleased to have supported this transaction.”

The transaction was managed by Abacus team members Joseph Lee and Austin Rendell, with legal counsel from Goulston & Storrs, PC.

The transaction highlights continued activity in the sensor technology market, driven by demand across aerospace, industrial and defense sectors.
