Monroe Capital was named to Inc.’s 2026 Founder-Friendly Investors List, marking its fourth consecutive year on the list since Inc. introduced its Lender category. The annual list honors private equity firms, venture capital firms and lenders with a track record of backing founder-led companies and helping them succeed.
Monroe is a founder-led firm itself. Since its inception, it has invested more than $7.7 billion in founder-led businesses.
“We’re honored to be named to Inc.’s Founder-Friendly Investors List for the fourth consecutive year. At Monroe, we take pride in being a trusted capital partner to founder-led and family-owned businesses. Whether it’s an acquisition, an expansion or a generational transition, we structure financing around the founder’s plan and remain a steady partner as that plan evolves,” Tom Aronson, vice chairman and head of originations at Monroe Capital, said.
“For more than two decades, Monroe has built deep relationships with founders and family-owned businesses across North America, and we’ve learned that the best partnerships are built on flexibility and follow-through. Through our Independent Sponsor group and family-owned business initiatives, we provide tailored financing that empowers entrepreneurs to scale, innovate and grow on their own terms. We’re grateful to the founders who continue to place their trust in Monroe,” Zia Uddin, president of Monroe Capital, said.
“With the current funding environment and rapid changes facing growing companies, founders are looking for more than just capital from their investors. They want true partners who believe in their business, but who are also able to provide the critical advisement and strategic support they need to reach their potential,” Bonny Ghosh, editorial director at Inc., said. “The 2026 Founder-Friendly Investor awards celebrate those firms — the ones committed to partnership, excellence, and helping founder-led companies grow.”
