Neal Gerber Eisenberg (NGE) added Johnathan Foster as a partner in the corporate and securities group. Foster brings nearly a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity, advising Fortune 500 companies, middle-market sponsors, private equity funds and their portfolio companies across complex domestic and cross-border transactions. He regularly leads buy-side and sell-side transactions up to $1 billion across the full transaction lifecycle, including structuring, diligence, negotiation and execution of definitive documentation. Additionally, he counsels clients on transaction risks, governance matters and post-closing integration.
“Johnathan is exactly the kind of lawyer we want to continue attracting to NGE,” Robert G. Gerber, managing partner at NGE, said. “He is an accomplished deal lawyer who understands that the best legal advice starts with understanding what the client is trying to accomplish. We are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
Foster’s experience spans a range of industries, including manufacturing, food retail, insurance and intellectual property, among others. He also advises boards, management teams and sponsors on transaction risk, corporate governance and other strategic matters.
“Johnathan is equally effective on the buy side and the sell side, and he stays with clients well past signing, through integration,” Earl Melamed, chair of NGE’s corporate and securities practice group, said. “That end-to-end perspective is exactly what our clients value, and he adds great depth to our existing team.”
Foster earned his J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.A. from Bethany College.
