First Internet Bank promoted Nick Campbell to senior vice president, chief lending officer. In his new role, he will lead the bank’s lending organizations, including small business lending; owner-occupied and investor commercial real estate; commercial and industrial lending; construction lending; single tenant lease financing; franchise finance and consumer lending. He will oversee lending strategy and portfolio growth while expanding the specialized solutions that help businesses and consumers achieve their financial goals nationwide.

“Nick has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep lending expertise and a strong commitment to serving our clients,” Nicole Lorch, president and chief operating officer of First Internet Bank, said. “Throughout his career at First Internet Bank, he has delivered results through disciplined execution and sound risk management. As chief lending officer, Nick will play an important role in aligning our lending strategy with the bank’s long-term objectives. His leadership will help us navigate an increasingly complex environment while driving sustainable, profitable growth and value for our stakeholders.”

Campbell said, “I’m honored to take on this expanded leadership role and work alongside the talented teams that serve our clients every day. First Internet Bank has built a strong foundation through specialized lending and exceptional service, supported by a disciplined approach to growth. I look forward to partnering across the bank to support our clients’ success and responsibly grow our lending platform. Together, we will create long-term value and help advance the goals of First Internet Bank.”

Campbell joined First Internet Bank in March 2017 as vice president, CRE portfolio manager. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president, CRE relationship manager and first vice president, credit administration. He was promoted to first vice president, commercial real estate in 2021 and later became first vice president, senior credit officer.

During his tenure, he has helped drive the growth and performance of the bank’s commercial real estate portfolio, particularly in construction and development lending. As senior credit officer, he led credit administration and risk management efforts while partnering with lending teams on credit strategy and underwriting. His leadership also supported the continued quality of the bank’s loan portfolio.

He brings more than two decades of lending and banking experience to his new role. Before joining First Internet Bank, he held positions with FORUM Credit Union and Monroe Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University.
