FGI Worldwide, a provider of working capital financing and trade credit insurance solutions, readded Rick Perea to FGI Risk as director of business development. Based out of FGI’s Boca Raton office, Perea will focus on business development and relationship management, working to expand FGI Risk’s presence in the market and connect businesses with tailored trade credit insurance and risk advisory solutions.

“We are very pleased to welcome Rick back to FGI Risk,” Sami Altaher, CEO of FGI, said. “His industry expertise, established relationships and familiarity with FGI make him a strong addition to the team. Having previously contributed to the growth of FGI Risk in this role, Rick brings a valuable understanding of our business and the market that will allow him to build on that momentum and further strengthen FGI Risk’s presence in the market.”

Perea added, “Returning to FGI at such an important time in the company’s growth is an exciting opportunity. There is strong momentum across the organization and significant opportunity ahead for FGI Risk. I look forward to rejoining a team I know well, reconnecting with clients and partners, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.”

Perea brings extensive experience in trade credit insurance, risk management and business development. He previously served as director of business development at FGI Risk, developing relationships across the trade credit insurance market and supporting the division’s business development efforts. Most recently, Perea served as vice president at One Source Risk Management and Funding, an Alliant company, where he specialized in insuring financial transactions across the US. Earlier in his career, he served as senior risk management consultant at Allianz, helping businesses mitigate risk and drive sales growth through trade credit insurance. Perea is a licensed property and casualty broker-agent and previously served on the board of the Central California District Export Council.
