Republic Bancorp, the parent company of Republic Bank & Trust Company, has been recognized once again as a Top 25 Publicly Traded Bank in Bank Director’s RankingBanking Report, an annual evaluation of the nation’s top-performing publicly traded banking institutions.
“Earning a Top 25 ranking for the second consecutive year is a meaningful reflection of the consistency and discipline that have long defined Republic Bank,” Steve Trager, executive chair of Republic Bancorp, said. “We remain focused on serving clients, strengthening our communities and executing on a strategy designed to create lasting value. We are proud to see those efforts recognized on a national stage.”
RankingBanking is Bank Director’s annual analysis of the 300 largest publicly traded banks in the United States. The 2026 ranking, based on year-end 2025 results, evaluates institutions across key measures of profitability, capital strength and credit quality. This year’s report highlighted the importance of strong core deposits, local decision-making and disciplined execution in an increasingly competitive banking environment.
“This honor reinforces our belief that clients shouldn’t have to choose between the service of a community bank and the capabilities of a national institution,” Logan Pichel, president and CEO of Republic Bank, said. “At Republic, we’re committed to delivering both, and this recognition reflects the strength of that approach.”
