Aurora Management Partners was appointed as the chief restructuring officer to Sailormen in the Southern District of Florida United States Bankruptcy Court. Overseeing the company is David Baker, managing partner; Matthew Dossey, Greg Baker, and Travis Grody, directors; and Sophia Levinson and Katie Kendall, consultants.
Founded in 1984 to own and operate Popeyes quick serve restaurants as a franchisee, Sailormen operates 136 locations in Florida and Georgia.
In addition to current out-of-court restructurings, Aurora is currently appointed as state receiver to Covenance Manufacturing and All Nations Distillery, both in Kentucky, as well as federal receiver to Besse Forest Products in Michigan, Montgomery Transport Group in Alabama, and Notre Dame College in Ohio.
In Chapter 11 bankruptcies, Aurora is currently serving as chief restructuring officer to Wellmade Flooring, Luca Mariano Distillery and Gardener’s Supply, as well as financial advisor to Handlos Family Farms and to the unsecured creditors committee in the Eventide Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Additionally, in court appointment, Aurora is serving as liquidating trustee to Taronis Fuels and Landmark following their respective Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan confirmations.
