Cascadia Capital, an independent investment bank serving middle-market clients globally, added Michael Kahn as a director in its equity capital solutions group. Kahn works closely with co-heads Sim Ketchum and Peter Purcell to support the continued expansion of Cascadia’s platform focused on connecting private equity sponsors and companies with differentiated sources of equity capital.

“Private equity sponsors are operating in a more complex capital environment and increasingly require creative equity solutions to support growth and liquidity,” Michael Butler, chairman and CEO of Cascadia Capital, said. “We offer a platform that connects investors with compelling middle-market opportunities while helping our clients navigate these evolving market dynamics. Michael’s experience and relationships strengthens our ability to deliver differentiated solutions and positions Cascadia at the forefront of this growing segment of the market.”

Kahn brings more than a decade of experience advising stakeholders across private markets on complex direct and secondary transactions. His background in sourcing and executing equity capital solutions further enhances Cascadia’s ability to support sponsors seeking flexible capital and investors looking to deploy capital into high-quality middle-market opportunities.

“Having worked with Michael at prior firms, we’re thrilled to add his deep network of deal-by-deal private equity investor relationships and corporate finance advisory skills to the platform,” Sim Ketchum, co-head of equity capital solutions at Cascadia, said.

Peter Purcell, co-head of equity capital solutions, said, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Michael as part of our team again. He brings a level of creativity to capital formation processes that our sponsor clients seek amidst an increasingly competitive asset acquisition market.”

Kahn said, “For more than 25 years, Cascadia has been a go-to advisor for founders and sponsors in the highly attractive middle market. The opportunity to help expand the firm’s equity capital solutions platform is incredibly compelling. As the private equity ecosystem continues to evolve, sponsors and investors increasingly seek flexible capital solutions and truly differentiated direct investment opportunities. Cascadia is ideally positioned to facilitate those connections.”
