Faegre Drinker added Jared Hershberg to its corporate practice as a partner in the New York office. He joins from an international law firm.
Hershberg’s arrival follows a series of recent additions to the New York office, including partners Dan Smulian and Gregory Mitchell, as well as counsel Alena Markley.
With a focus on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate matters, Hershberg represents a diverse array of fund types, including private equity, growth capital and venture capital, as well as independent sponsors, private companies, portfolio companies, founder-owned businesses and other stakeholders with complex legal and business issues.
Hershberg counsels clients on acquisitions, dispositions, mergers and other investment-related activities including control and non-control investments, growth investments, co-investments, joint ventures, recapitalizations, capital raises and commercial contracts, as well as general corporate, partnership and limited liability company matters.

Hershberg’s experience includes structuring, negotiating and executing domestic and cross-border corporate transactions throughout the entire transaction life cycle and across numerous industry sectors including software and technology, manufacturing and industrials, consumer products, food and beverage, business services, industrial services, health and beauty, and transportation and logistics.

Hershberg earned his bachelor of arts from Duke University and his juris doctor from Columbia Law School.
