In an Oct. 9 decision, the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) denied institution of an inter partes review (IPR) filed by Nearmap U.S. against EagleView’s U.S. Patent No. 10,671,648 B2. The PTAB determined that Nearmap failed to establish a reasonable likelihood of prevailing as to any of the claims challenged in the IPR, securing a victory for EagleView’s innovative geographic database system. One day later, the PTAB also rejected Nearmap’s petition to review EagleView’s U.S. Patent No. 9,182,657 B2._x000D_
