EMEA Lending Drops to $894B in 2017

Reuters reported a 2% decrease in syndicated lending in Europe, the Middle East and Africa during 2017, pointing to inconsistent acquisition financing as well as “subdued refinancing activity.”

Reuters noted that although the leveraged loan market experienced improvement in 2017, corporate volume had a negative year all the same.
