Rothschild Global Advisory hired Mike Ostow, Jonathan Herbst and Raj Dayalan as managing directors to expand its North American business.

Ostow will be based in New York as head of Financial Institutions, North America. Herbst will be based in Chicago as head of the North American Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team, while Dayalan will be based in Los Angeles.

Jimmy Neissa, head of Rothschild & Co North America, stated, “We’re pleased to have Mike, Jon and Raj as part of our team as we continue to grow our presence in North America. Their backgrounds and experience will provide our clients with significant expertise in the financial, telecom, media and technology sectors, and we are looking forward to leveraging their market presence to further meet the needs of our clients.”

Ostow joins the firm from UBS, where he was Americas co-head of its Financial Institutions Group. He previously held senior roles at Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley and has worked across all subsectors of the financial industry, advising a wide variety of leading global insurance companies and sponsors.

Herbst also joins Rothschild from UBS where he was a senior member of the Global TMT Group for more than 17 years. While there, he led the firm’s telecom practice in the Americas and advised on transactions across a wide range of industry subsectors, including telecom service providers, telecom infrastructure and tech-enabled telecom services.

Dayalan most recently served as a senior member of the TMT Group and head of the Marketing Technology practice at Houlihan Lokey. Prior to that, he was an executive director at UBS, serving as co-head of Internet Investment Banking. At both firms, he led transactions for leading technology, media and payments companies and related financial sponsors. Earlier in his career, Dayalan was a member of Deutsche Bank’s Technology Group and Salomon Brothers’ Media and Telecom practice.
