BlueVine Names Jackson Head of U.S. Engineering

BlueVine, a provider of working capital financing to small and medium-sized businesses, named veteran Silicon Valley technologist Brian Jackson head of U.S. engineering. In this role, Jackson will lead and scale the U.S. engineering team and build BlueVine’s next generation of products designed to transform financing for small businesses.

Jackson has spent the past 30 years developing software products in Silicon Valley, holding senior leadership positions at some of technology’s leading companies.

Jackson was previously an engineering director at Facebook, where he led teams in charge of key infrastructure products. Before Facebook, he served as an engineering director at Google, where he oversaw the development of Google For Work (now “G Suite”) applications and Google’s first integrated in-house customer relations management system.

Before joining Google, Jackson held various vice president roles at several business software startups, such as Brio Technology, Xtime, and Epiphany.

“We’re thrilled to have an experienced and brilliant technology leader like Brian join us to head our engineering team in the U.S.,” said Nir Klar, co-founder and chief technology officer, BlueVine. “BlueVine has a proud tradition of building innovative fintech products leveraging the most cutting-edge technologies, and with Brian on board, we’re excited about our future ahead as we build the next generation of products.”

“Fintech is one of the most significant trends to emerge during my 30 years in Silicon Valley,” Jackson said. “It’s exciting to be building products and technology that provide the fastest and most flexible financial services for small businesses. BlueVine is a pioneer in this space, and it’s an honor to be part of the team.”
