D.A. Davidson has hired Timothy Monfort as managing director of Equity Capital Markets in its New York office. Monfort will oversee the capital markets and syndicate teams, responsible for origination and execution of capital raises for D.A. Davidson clients.

“Tim is a strong addition to our team,” said Monte Giese, president of Equity Capital Markets for D.A. Davidson. “Providing our clients with access to the capital markets is a key role at D.A. Davidson. Tim has experience in nearly every industry, in every product type and in nearly every execution strategy. Bringing those capabilities to our clients is critical as we continue to grow our industry-driven expertise.”

Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Monfort was head of Equity Capital Markets for Seaport Global Securities in New York. His extensive experience in the securities industry also includes positions at Morgan Stanley, Hambrecht & Quist and head of Equity Capital Markets at Jefferies.

“I’m excited to drive D.A. Davidson’s strong Equity Capital Markets team forward, and help accelerate its current growth, innovation and development trajectory,” Monfort said.
