LendingPoint, an online loan origination and servicing platform, appointed Mark Freeman as chief financial officer. Freeman will oversee all corporate finance, including accounting, financial planning and budgeting, treasury as well as the company’s capital markets programs.

Freeman joins LendingPoint from Republic Finance, a privately held consumer lender with approximately 300 branches throughout the U.S., where he served as CFO for the past six years. He has more than 30 years of financial industry experience. Prior to Republic, he held senior leadership positions at Ocwen Financial Corporation, Banc of America Securities, BMO Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets and J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.

Freeman has a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Tulane.
