National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, added Dawn Williford, CIA, as a partner in its governance, risk and compliance (GRC) practice. Based in Houston, she brings more than 25 years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit and compliance.
With Big Four and other national accounting firm experience, Williford has supported clients across energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, franchising and entertainment, with risk assessments, internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing, SOX readiness, SOX compliance and contract compliance. She led an internal audit, risk and controls team, guiding nationwide initiatives in SOX, enterprise risk management and internal audit. Additionally, she launched and directed a national contract compliance practice, helping clients recover millions of dollars for industries including construction, franchising and licensing.

Williford is a certified internal auditor (CIA) and has a certification in risk management assurance. She received a bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
