TD Bank appointed Jill Gateman the new head of middle-market products and services. Gateman will join TD Bank’s senior commercial bank leadership team and report directly to Chris Giamo, head of commercial banking at TD Bank.

Gateman will spearhead the execution of TD’s middle-market growth strategy. Her primary focus will be to deepen penetration in existing metropolitan areas while simultaneously driving national expansion into new geographies for the bank, such as Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago.

“Jill’s extensive experience and keen understanding of the financial industry make her the ideal choice to lead middle-market products and services at such a pivotal time in our growth story,” Giamo said. “I have no doubt that Jill will excel in this role and contribute significantly to our ongoing success. Her expertise and strategic mindset will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence in middle market.”

Gateman joined TD Bank from PNC, where she served as executive vice president and co-head of corporate banking, overseeing PNC’s middle-market and corporate banking segment in the east region. She was a member of PNC’s enterprise corporate diversity council and served as the lead diversity, equity and inclusion advocate for corporate and institutional banking.

Prior to her time at PNC, Gateman garnered more than a decade of experience in the private equity and M&A advisory industries. She actively contributes to her community as an executive committee and board member of The Community Food Bank of New Jersey.

“I’m excited to join TD Bank and leverage my industry knowledge to drive growth, deepen client relationships and deliver innovative solutions,” Gateman said. “I’m excited for the journey ahead and building on TD’s winning track record.”
