SQN Banking Systems’ President Uhland Announces Retirement

byIan Koplin

in People

Joe Uhland, president and CEO of SQN Banking Systems, will retire on June 30. Stan Jaslar, the company’s current chief technology officer, will replace Uhland as president and CEO.

Uhland has led SQN Banking Systems since 1996, and he’s given 38 years of service to the company and its customers. Under Uhland’s guidance, SQN experienced growth in the signature verification and fraud detection markets. His accomplishments include developing check fraud detection systems and facilitating hundreds of installations in the financial industry, including in six of the top 10 banks in the United States.

“Joe’s vision and drive, combined with his commitment to serving the best long-term interests of the company, have strengthened SQN,” Jaslar said. “He leaves a more agile and resilient company, well-placed to win in this fast-changing, dynamic industry. I’d like to thank him personally, and on behalf of the board, for his contribution and dedication to SQN.”

During his 33-year career, Jaslar has held various positions at SQN. In addition to his most recent role as chief technology officer, Jaslar has also led SQN’s product development and technical services teams.

“I’m most proud of the development and support teams that we have built over the years and our ability to adapt and excel in the face of rapidly changing environments,” Uhland said. “Our folks and their talents and dedication are what make SQN unique in the industry, and Stan is largely responsible for creating and leading this group to the success we enjoy today. SQN will be in great hands with Stan.”
