Snell & Wilmer added Jason Spitalnick to its Denver office as partner in the litigation, investigations and trials practice group. Spitalnick focuses his practice on securities enforcement defense, white collar defense, internal investigations and commercial litigation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jason to the firm and to our Denver office,” Jim Kilroy, managing partner of the Denver office, said. “His unique combination of public and private sector experience, including his time at the SEC, will enhance our ability to guide clients through complex investigations and disputes.”

Spitalnick brings significant public and private sector experience to the firm, most recently serving as enforcement counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to his time at the SEC, he was a litigation partner at Foster Graham Milstein & Calisher, where he served on the firm’s management committee and represented entity, government and individual clients in state and federal courts across a variety of industries.

Spitalnick’s experience also includes nearly a decade as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York, where he conducted complex internal investigations and represented domestic and international corporate, fund and individual clients in securities, commodities, antitrust and commercial litigation matters. While at Davis Polk, he was seconded to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and prosecuted multiple felony jury trials.

Spitalnick earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Dartmouth College. He is admitted to practice in Colorado and New York.
