Sandeep Sharma joined Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking’s technology, media and telecom group as a managing director.

In his role, Sharma will focus on IT services, business process outsourcing, product engineering and analytics services. Based in New York, he will report to Rob Weber, head of business and technology services for corporate and investment banking.

“We are pleased to welcome Sandeep and further strengthen our TMT coverage group,” David Gillespie, head of CIB coverage at Wells Fargo, said. “His appointment underscores our commitment to the high growth technology services industry and to expanding our technology, media and telecom franchise.”

Sharma most recently served at Morgan Stanley, where he led coverage of IT services, outsourcing and digital transformation companies. Previously, he was a member of the TMT investment banking team at JPMorgan covering technology services companies. His banking career began with the telecom and media team at ABN AMRO Bank in India and Singapore before he moved to New York in 2000.

“With more than 20 years of investment banking experience, Sandeep brings deep industry knowledge, advisory and capital markets expertise to the role,” Steve Macko, head of CIB technology, media and telecom at Wells Fargo, said. “We look forward to his leadership and the contributions he will make to the TMT platform.”

Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking provides capital markets, banking, and financial products and services.
