PlainsCapital Bank hired Sara Brooke Burnside within its Houston lending team as senior vice president, senior commercial loan officer. She will be based at the bank’s Richmond Avenue location at 2925 Richmond Avenue, Suite 100.

In her new role, Burnside will focus on developing new business, managing commercial portfolios and providing strategic financial advice to commercial clients. She will offer a range of banking services, including loan financing, risk management, cash management and investing, to support these clients in achieving their goals.

“We are excited to welcome Sara Brooke to our team,” Danny Schroder, chairman of the bank’s Houston region, said. “Her extensive experience and proven track record in commercial lending will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our services and strengthen client relationships.”

Burnside brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services to her new role. Most recently, she served as senior vice president, commercial lender, at Bank OZK, where she managed a complex commercial portfolio. Her background also includes commercial lending and relationship management roles at Comerica Bank, Community Bank of Texas, First Financial Bank, Wells Fargo, Capital One and Wachovia Bank.

“Joining PlainsCapital is an exciting opportunity for me,” Burnside said. “I look forward to working with this innovative team and leveraging my experience to help clients reach their financial goals.”
