Investment bank Piper Sandler hired Brandon Rice as a managing director within the healthcare investment banking group. Rice joined Piper Sandler with 17 years of healthcare investment banking experience in strategic and capital markets transactions across the medical technology sector. Rice will continue to cover the medical technology sector and will be based in the firm’s New York office.

“Brandon brings high-profile relationships and extensive transaction experience in the med-tech sector to our team. The addition of Brandon’s expertise positions us for continued market leadership advising med-tech companies and ensures we continue to deliver best-in-class services to our clients. We are excited to welcome him to the healthcare team,” J.P. Peltier, global group head of healthcare investment banking at Piper Sandler, said.

Prior to joining the firm, Rice spent 17 years at Bank of America Securities, most recently as a managing director in the global healthcare investment banking group. In this role, his primary focus was M&A advisory and capital raising for both public and private disruptive medical technology companies. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2006, prior to its merger with Bank of America Securities.

“Piper Sandler has been the trusted partner in medical devices for several decades, with a long history of leadership in M&A and capital raising. I am thrilled to be joining a franchise that shares my deep commitment to entrepreneurs and companies that are driving meaningful innovation and disruption in medical devices and the broader healthcare sector,” Rice said.
