nFusion Capital hired Tree Buckingham as executive vice president and head of asset-based lending. Buckingham will be responsible for spearheading the strategic expansion of the company’s asset-based lending division, overseeing strategic initiatives, underwriting portfolio credit management, and cultivating client and referral relationships. She will be based in nFusion Capital’s Austin, TX, headquarters.

“I am pleased to welcome Tree to the important role of leading our asset-based lending business,” Jason Lippman, CEO of nFusion Capital, said. “Tree is an experienced commercial finance executive with deep operations expertise and a passion for building great teams. We look forward to her contributions as we grow this critical area of our business.”

With 30 years of experience in the secured finance industry, Buckingham was previously executive vice president of operations at Mountain Ridge Capital. She also has previous experience at Veritex Community Bank, Solifi and Sterling National Bank, among other firms.

Buckingham serves on the education committee for the Secured Finance Network and was also recognized as one of 70 women inspiring and leading excellence in 2021 by the organization. She was named one of the 2023 Top Women in Asset-Based Lending by ABF Journal and received its 2022 Industry Icon-Pioneer award.
