Miller & Chevalier Chartered hired Brian Gleicher as a member in the tax controversy and litigation practice. Gleicher brings decades of experience in guiding multinational corporations through complex tax issues.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Brian to our team,” Kathryn Cameron Atkinson, chair of Miller & Chevalier, said. “He is a highly skilled and esteemed professional who will strengthen our capabilities and commitment to delivering exceptional results. As the tax enforcement landscape becomes more complex and client demands grow, having Brian on our team reinforces our firm’s leadership in tax controversy for sophisticated businesses.”

“Brian’s timing with our firm is ideal, given the growth in enforcement activities and staff by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS),” Layla Asali, tax chair of Miller & Chevalier, said. “Our clients rely on seasoned advisors and advocates like Brian to safeguard their interests and secure favorable outcomes. Brian’s deep experience in developing strategic and forward-thinking solutions will be instrumental in navigating this increasingly rigorous enforcement environment.”

At Miller & Chevalier, Gleicher will provide counsel on U.S. federal tax matters, handling complex tax examinations and settlement negotiations with the IRS at the examination and appeals levels. His practice also includes transfer pricing, advance pricing agreements (APA) and tax treaty matters, where he negotiates with U.S. and foreign authorities on issues like double taxation, residency and permanent establishment.

“Joining Miller & Chevalier offers the perfect platform to focus on the critical tax controversy issues impacting my clients,” Gleicher said. “The firm’s esteemed reputation in tax law provides an ideal environment for delivering the sophisticated solutions my clients need.”

Gleicher earned a B.S. from University of Florida, high honors, and a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the bar in the District of Columbia and has served as the chair of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) Section of Taxation.
