The International Factoring Association named David J. Jencks, Esq. of Jencks Law, co-general counsel to the organization. Jencks will join existing co-general counsel Steven Kurtz, Esq. partner of Levinson Arshonsky, Kurtz & Komsky; Michael Ullman, Esq. partner of Ullman & Ullman; and Robert Zadek, Esq. of counsel at Buchalter. IFA co-general counsel members play a role in ensuring legal compliance, protecting the interests of the association and its members, and contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the organization.

For nearly 20 years, Jencks has been a keynote speaker at the IFA’s annual convention and transportation factoring meeting. In addition, he has conducted various training sessions and webinars covering aspects of transportation factoring, including account management, debtor credit, technology, fraud, risk management, problem loads, billing and legal issues.

“David’s unwavering commitment to the IFA and our members, coupled with his extensive knowledge in transportation factoring, renders him an invaluable asset to our industry,” Tania Daniel, executive director of the IFA, said. “We express profound gratitude for his steadfast support, which enriches and strengthens our community.”

Jencks represents banks, factors, asset-based lenders and finance companies in commercial transactions and commercial litigation in state and federal courts with a particular focus on transportation factoring. He also represents factors, brokers and motor carriers in transactional and litigation matters. He is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association and Delta Nu Alpha, the professional fraternity involved in the continuing education of transportation professionals.
