Horizon Technology Finance, a specialty finance company that provides capital in the form of secured loans to venture capital backed companies in the technology, life science, healthcare information and services and sustainability industries, priced its loan securitization.
The Horizon Funding Trust 2022-1 securitization is a private securitization under Rule 144A and to persons outside the United States pursuant to Regulation S under the Securities Act in which Horizon expects to sell a pool of loans with an aggregate principal balance of approximately $160 million to a securitization trust and receive proceeds from the issuance and sale of $100 million aggregate principal amount of 7.6878% rated notes. Following pricing, total proceeds, including cash and securities, are expected to be $98.8 million before fees and expenses. The offering is expected to close on Nov. 9, subject to customary closing conditions.
