Haversine Funding, a provider of alternative financing solutions, hired Jeffrey Whaley as CFO. Whaley, who has more than 20 years of experience, will oversee accounting, operations and compliance for the company. In his new position, Whaley will work with investors and play a role in guiding the future growth of the company.

“Jeff is a welcome addition to the Haversine Funding team. His financial expertise, combined with his professional experience overall, will provide additional strategic insight to help advance our strategic focus and accelerate the demand for our funding solutions,” Gen Merritt-Parikh, president of Haversine Funding, said.

Most recently serving as senior vice president within the fund accounting leadership team at the Goldman Sachs Group, Whaley has more than two decades of experience in accounting in the financial services sector. While at Goldman Sachs, he served as vice president and controller for 50 private debt and equity funds within the merchant banking division. Prior to that, he worked with Vericrest Financial as controller, HBK Capital as fund accounting manager and Bear Stearns Companies as an assistant vice president.

“I am excited and honored to join the Haversine Funding team and look forward to providing quality service to our investors and clients. The current economic environment is at an inflection point and provides an amazing opportunity for Haversine’s continued growth as we work to grow our relationships with our clients,” Whaley said.
