Genstar Capital promoted David Golde to managing director and Ben Marshall and David Graham to director.

Ryan Clark, president and managing director at Genstar said, “We are excited to announce the promotions of these three talented individuals. Genstar has an apprenticeship model where all our senior investment professionals have been grown from within. David Golde has been with Genstar since 2006 and has distinguished himself leading Genstar’s investing efforts in the packaging and pharmaceutical services sectors. Ben Marshall has been with Genstar since 2010 and continues to drive value at a significant number of our portfolio companies while leading efforts in healthcare technology. Dave Graham joined us several years ago to lead our debt capital markets activity. He has had tremendous success building out our capabilities — leading over $8 billion of debt financings during his time here.”

The promotions follow the successful completion of Genstar Capital Partners IX, which closed last week with total capital raised, including limited partners, the general partner, affiliated entities, and the overage capacity of approximately $7 billion.

Golde has served as director since 2015. He joined Genstar in 2006 as an associate, and re-joined the firm in 2010 after receiving his MBA degree. Golde began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was an investment banking analyst. He currently serves on the boards of Genstar portfolio companies Alera Group, CRF Bracket, Pretium Packaging, and Tekni-Plex.

Marshall originally joined Genstar Capital in 2010 as an associate and re-joined the firm in 2014 after receiving his MBA. Prior to joining Genstar, he worked as an investment banking analyst at Peter J. Solomon. Marshall serves on the boards of Genstar portfolio companies All Web Leads, BBB Industries, ConnectiveRx, ECM Industries, Mercer Advisors, and Telestream.

Graham joined Genstar in 2017 as principal, focusing on debt financing activities. Prior to joining Genstar, he was vice president, capital markets at Sterling Partners. Previously, he worked in the debt advisory group at Lincoln International and before that worked in the corporate banking group at The Northern Trust Company. Graham began his career as a derivatives trader at DRW Trading Group.

Genstar is a private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the financial services, software, industrial technology and healthcare industries.
