in People

eCapital named James Poston chief sales officer. Poston has more than 14 years of experience in receivables financing and asset-based lending. He will oversee eCapital’s sales strategy, drive business development and create a unified revenue generation process across the organization throughout the United States and Canada.

As chief sales officer, Poston will be responsible for providing the leadership, direction and executive vision to ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals. Poston also will build out the sales function and expand eCapital’s sales teams.

Poston previously held the position of senior vice president for eCapital’s freight factoring division, joining the organization during its acquisition of Bibby Financial Services in June 2020. Prior to joining eCapital, Poston served as executive vice president and sales director for Bibby Financial Services Canada. In 2017, Poston was named a Secured Finance Network’s 40 under 40 honoree. He is a chartered professional accountant and certified management accountant.

“We are excited for James to lead our sales function across the company and work with channel partners to facilitate eCapital’s continued growth and expand our corporate footprint,” Marius Silvasan, CEO of eCapital, said. “This executive promotion is the latest step in our strategy to develop a fortified corporate structure and to better position eCapital as the leader in providing best-in-class financing and customer service to our clients.”
