The 15th Annual Philadelphia Credit & Restructuring Summit, hosted by ABF Journal, the New York Institute of Credit, the Secured Finance Network and the Philadelphia/Wilmington chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, will take place March 21 from 11 a.m. to 6:30. p.m. ET at the Union League of Philadelphia.

The conference will begin with a luncheon panel moderated by Monique B. DiSabatino, a partner at Saul Ewing, and featuring several notable retired bankruptcy court judges, including:

  • The Honorable Kevin J. Carey, formerly of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and currently senior council at Hogan Lovells
  • The Honorable Robert D. Drain, formerly of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York and currently of counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom
  • The Honorable Holly B. Fitzsimmons, formerly of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut
  • The Honorable Kevin Gross, formerly of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the District of Delaware and currently of counsel at Richards Layton & Finger

To learn a little bit more about the panel and what attendees can expect, DiSabatino provided some insight in a short Q&A with ABF Journal.

What will be the focus of the panel?

DiSabatino: I will be discussing what life is like after the bench for four esteemed retired judges, including any changes in perspective once off the bench, acclimating to practice, advice on evaluating career paths within restructuring, among other topics.

Who can benefit the most from attending this panel?

DiSabatino: I think we all benefit from hearing about how successful practitioners navigate career changes and challenges.

What do you hope attendees will gain from the panel?

DiSabatino: I hope attendees will gain interesting and amusing insights about what it is like for judges retiring from the bench, advice on best practices before the court, considerations when evaluating changes in one’s career and more.

In addition to the luncheon panels, the conference will feature three other educational panels, several networking breaks as well as a cocktail reception to conclude the day. For more information and to register, click here.
