CIT appointed Geoff Black to the position of managing director and group head for the lender finance business within its business capital division. Black, who was also promoted to senior vice president, will be based in Jacksonville, FL, and will oversee sales, marketing and business development for all of CIT’s lender finance business.
“Geoff has demonstrated outstanding customer focus and commitment to client satisfaction, which has driven the success of the lender finance business,” Mike Jones, president of CIT’s business capital division, said. “His vast market knowledge and creative structuring capabilities will help drive the continued growth of the business.”
Black joined CIT in 2006 and, in his most recent role, he was responsible for originating and growing relationships. Previously, he worked for ePlus Group, a technology leasing company where he held positions of growing responsibility within the capital markets space.
CIT’s lender finance team provides programmatic and structured capital markets solutions to captive, bank-owned and independent leasing companies.
