NGP Capital Resources Company’s board has approved the expansion of its investment strategy to include providing capital to companies in the broader, middle-market segment. NGP hired Michael D. Brown, managing director, head of Middle-Market Investments.

Danielle LaPaglia has joined Bayside Business Solutions. She will serve as a technical services project manager, responsible for new-client implementations, training, implementation of additional add-on modules and general technical support.

Boathouse Capital has named Colin Raws as the firm’s director of Business Development. Previously, Raws served as associate director, Business Development for Milestone Partners.

Imperial Capital announced that it appointed Tom Corcoran as president. He was most recently managing director and head of Imperial Capital’s High Grade/Hybrid Sales & Trading Group.

Aequitas Capital Management added two executives in its Portland headquarters. Jonathan Wease was appointed vice president of Portfolio Management, and Brian Zeck was appointed managing director in the Asset Management Business Unit.

Bain Capital Ventures, a venture capital and growth equity firm with over $2 billion in committed capital, announced that Matt Harris will join the firm as managing director. In this role, Harris will focus on early and growth stage investments in the financial services sector and will lead the firm’s New York City office.
