Heritage Bank of Commerce announced that Michael Benito has been promoted to executive vice president/Business Banking Division manager. Benito has been with Heritage for nine years as senior vice president, director of Sales and Business Development.

MidCap Business Credit has appointed Mark Schroeder to its business development team. He is a vice president and will cover the Midwest and Great Lakes regions. Schroeder has spent the last 18 years in asset-based finance.

TD Bank said it named Eric J. Johnson as vice president, business development officer in the SBA Division in Burlington, VT. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as a commercial lender at Berkshire.

Insight Equity Holdings announced three promotions and one new addition. Eliot Kerlin was promoted to partner, Warren Bonham joined the team as a partner, Jack Waterstreet was promoted to senior vice president, and Kevin Slaton was promoted to chief financial officer and chief compliance officer.

TAB Bank announced the addition of Steven M. Shaughnessy to the Business Development team as vice president and business development officer based in Seattle, WA and serving the Northwest U.S. and western Canada.

First Capital announced the hiring of Will Olivencia as vice president and underwriter in First Capital’s MidSouth regional office located in Atlanta. Previously, he held positions at Wells Fargo, GE Capital, CIT Group and GMAC Commercial Finance.

ORIX Corporate Capital said that Jeff Sangalis has joined its Dallas office as managing director of mezzanine and private equity co-investments.

Joel H. Schneider has joined Hilco Real Estate as senior vice president, Dispositions. He will source and manage owned and leased property disposition assignments.

The American Banker reports Walter J. Owens who has led TD Bank’s commercial banking and specialty lending units since 2008 has left the company. No official reason was given for his departure.
