ORIX Corporate Capital (OCC) announced that Jeff Sangalis has joined its Dallas office as managing director of mezzanine and private equity co-investments.

ORIX said Sangalis will focus on providing mezzanine and private equity capital to middle market companies throughout the United States. Capital will be deployed for buyouts/acquisitions, expansion of successful businesses and recapitalizations in a variety of industries and geographic areas. Investments will be made with equity sponsors, family and individual owners, and directly with management teams.

Sangalis joins the OCC Dallas office from Houston, where he was a founder and managing partner of Capital Point Partners, a middle-market mezzanine and private equity firm. Prior to Capital Point, he was a founder and managing partner of RSTW Partners and its predecessor entities. He also was previously with First Texas Merchant Banking Group, a subordinated debt lender, Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank), and InterFirst Bank in various commercial lending capacities.

Dallas, TX-based ORIX Corporate Capital, a principal lender and investor backed by the proprietary capital of ORIX Corporation, manages a portfolio of high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, venture loans, equities, funds and other publicly traded securities.
