Cambridge Wilkinson hired Fred Sussman as a managing director. Sussman is an operating executive, entrepreneur and investment banker with more than 30 years of experience in capital raising, entrepreneurship and broad-based corporate roles.

In corporate America, Sussman’s career was in finance in the defense industry, where he improved profitability by streamlining operations and implementing efficient, cost savings financial operations. After defense, Sussman joined a boutique consulting firm that served the banking, financial services and technology industries, where he led projects with significant operational and financial impact to the underlying businesses. Sussman then entered the entrepreneurship stage of his career during which time he started five different companies, each in different industries; building each one through both organic and acquisition growth strategies.

In addition, Sussman facilitated all equity and debt financings for these companies and exited each through sales to public and strategic acquirors. In several instances, Sussman remained with the acquiror as a C-Suite executive, leading its mergers & acquisitions team. Sussman’s areas of expertise include the following verticals: business services, technical services, healthcare services and technology.

In the most recent five years, Sussman has been a full-time investment banking professional, leading equity and debt capital raise transactions in the areas of real estate, hospitality, special situations, corporate finance, business services and healthcare services.

“We are thrilled to have Fred join the CW team, given is deep expertise in a variety of industries and his level of experience in the private capital markets. Fred’s skillsets clearly aligns with our client’s needs as we continue to scale our business at CW,” Rob Bolandian, co-founder and global head of investment banking at Cambridge Wilkinson, said.
