Breslin, Young & Slaughter (BY&S) welcomed Anthony Hope, John Nicholas and Evan Watts as partners at BY&S as of Jan. 1, 2024.

Hope brings over 25 years of experience in asset-based lending, specializing in healthcare for the past two decades. He currently leads BY&S’ field examination team and will play a crucial role in expanding the team in the future.

Nicholas, who joined BY&S in 2009, has a background in public accounting and healthcare lending. His strong risk assessment skills have significantly contributed to BY&S and significantly enhanced their review process, making him integral to the team as a partner.

Watts has been with the firm since 2015 after a tenure in public accounting. He has been instrumental in handling complex transactions, unique projects, and important client relationships. Watt’s role as a partner will focus on managing and cultivating client relationships.

Duke Slaughter retired from the firm at the end of 2023, marking a significant milestone in his career. Slaughter’s legacy and continued availability for special projects uphold the firm’s commitment to maintaining strong connections with our clients and colleagues.

“The promotion of Anthony Hope, John Nicholas and Evan Watts to Partners of BY&S underscores their exceptional capabilities, hard work and contributions to our firm. As Duke retires, we are fortunate to have such talented individuals guiding BY&S as we continue to grow to meet the evolving needs of our clients.” Brian Young, partner and CEO of BY&S, said.  “One area of need that we have identified is expanding our field exam services to perform field exams for our clients that have borrowers outside of the healthcare space and we are adding staff to our team to be able to provide this service.”
