BizCap, a national commercial finance and advisory firm, expanded its team with the hiring of Andrew Tinger as vice president of originations. In this role, Tinger will be responsible for expanding BizCap’s presence in the commercial credit market, with a strategic focus on extending its debt advisory practice to the private equity community.

“We’re thrilled to have Andrew join our team and augment our expansion efforts,” Chuck Doyle, president and CEO of BizCap, said. “With his strong background in building relationships and partnerships in the private debt markets, with both clients and collaborators, Andrew is the perfect addition to advance our national growth strategy.”

Tinger joins BizCap with a track record of holding increasingly senior finance roles. Most recently, he was an associate with StepStone Group where he managed mid-market private debt investments in U.S.-based and international companies, in addition to performing due diligence and credit monitoring on the firm’s portfolio and participating in business development activities

“BizCap has an incredible opportunity to further establish its reputation within the private equity community,” Tinger said. “Our expertise in raising competitive debt capital is the perfect complement and enables VC/PE investors to ensure their portfolio companies are matched with the best cost and structure on the debt side.”

Tinger will be based at BizCap’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco and will also focus on the Southern California commercial finance market as well as the national private equity sector.
